Globe valve refers to a valve in which the closing member (disc) moves along the centerline of the valve seat. It mainly plays a cutting role on the pipeline. The use of globe valves is extremely common, but due to the large opening and closing torque and the long structure length, the nominal size is usually limited to below DN250. However, the shortcomings of the globe valve cannot be ignored. The disadvantage is mainly due to the shape of the interior of the body cavity. In the body cavity, the medium changes from a straight direction to an upward flow, thus causing a pressure loss, especially in hydraulic devices.
